Summary:
We have openings for Packaging Operators and Processing Operators:
Packaging Operators: In support of the packing area, you are responsible for achieving standards and being certified for all activities associated with at least two bagging machines (A & C/D) and sanitation wash-down. You should be able to handle routine and complex duties associated with set-up, operations, changeovers, assembly/disassembly, cleaning, and safety on your own. Performs all production operator support and/or Packaging Operator job duties as required.
Processing Operators: In support of the Enrobing and Bakery departments, you are responsible for achieving standards and being certified for all activities associated with at least two Enrobing Lines and sanitation wash-down or at least two Bakery skills and sanitation wash-down. You should be able to handle routine and complex duties associated with set-up, operations, changeovers, assembly/disassembly, cleaning, and safety on your own. Performs all processing operator support and/or Enrobing Operator job duties as required.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
Packaging Operators: Responsible for achieving standards and being certified for all activities associated with at least two (2) bagging machines (A and C/D) and sanitation wash-down.
Processing Operators: Responsible for achieving standards and being certified for all activities associated with at least two (2) enrobing lines or two (2) bakery skills and sanitation wash-down.
Recommends suggestions for improvement.
Uses sound judgement in authority to shut down the line and immediately reports safety, food safety, maintenance, production, and quality problems to the supervisor.
As needed, performs all Packaging Operator job duties.
Required to read, understand, and follow all customer specifications.
Able to manage limited supervision and handle routine and more complex duties including assembly/disassembly, metal detection, and/or changeovers on your own; if help is required, you are required to escalate the issue to the leadership team.
Responsible for ensuring that all food quality and quality requirements are met by the team including date codes.
Responsible for ensuring/assisting in training of new or current team members effectively.
Monitors and tracks productivity/quality and looks for opportunities to maximize line effectiveness.
Monitors and controls weights of products.
Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and completing all paperwork associated with consumptions and GMP rules and regulations.
Follows and ensures that all team members follow all safety and GMP rules and regulations.
Assists in all positions/jobs involved in the line(s) as needed or directed by management.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Experience:
1 year of manufacturing experience.
Ability to pass a fork truck certification program.
Ability to read and understand customer specifications.
