Job description

Join to apply for the Production Operator role at BCM Inks.

Responsibilities include:

1. Pulling inks off mixers and thoroughly cleaning mixers.
2. Drumming ink with appropriate filters into requested amounts of gallons, buckets, drums, or totes as listed on batch tickets and order forms.
3. Labeling buckets properly, sealing lids tightly, and placing buckets onto skids as per customer requirements.
4. Entering drummed amounts accurately on batch tickets.
5. Washing containers thoroughly.
6. Ensuring products are drummed before leaving for the evening.
7. Wrapping and shipping ink orders, ensuring containers are presented professionally with labels straight and smooth, and no ink/varnish on outside surfaces.
8. Bundling ink orders with correct labeling and documentation, and placing orders in the correct carrier location.
9. Providing backup to Kady Mill and ensuring varnishes and whites are made according to batch tickets with minimal waste.
10. Storing finished varnishes and whites in designated locations.
11. Wearing masks and following safety precautions at all times.
12. Following re-make guidelines for internal batches.
13. Unloading trucks, providing samples and COAs to QC, and storing raw materials properly after QC approval.
14. Back-up on the ink line to ensure continuous operation.
15. Making ink according to batch tickets and maintaining equipment to avoid waste and clogs.
16. Checking ink viscosity and providing samples and batch tickets to QC.
17. Requesting raw materials from the Operations Manager.
18. Assisting with general production tasks, including waste management and maintaining cleanliness.
19. Communicating effectively with team members regarding order changes, stock issues, or paperwork needs.
