Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Columbia, SC, is seeking a hardworking team member for our manufacturing operations. You will operate production equipment, maintain a clean work area, and participate in safety programs to uphold our standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in recycling/manufacturing, can lift 50 lbs, work in all weather, and work well in a fast-paced team. Forklift or loader experience is a plus; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with multitasking abilities.
• Minimum 1 year experience in recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment.
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
