Job summary

Moog in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Production Operator for an onsite role. You will perform basic assembly using official documentation, maintain tools and equipment, and assist with testing of components.

You will read blueprints, solder, and use automated test equipment while ensuring accurate paperwork and calibration tracking. English literacy and basic arithmetic are required for daily tasks and quality-focused work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; English literacy to follow instructions.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and perform basic math.
• Quality conscious with mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using manufacturing documentation.
• Store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part accurately and legibly.
• Perform minor rework per procedures and rework router.

Job Title: Production Operator Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA

To be considered for a Production Operator role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures., Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $16.00–$20.00 Hourly Salary Range

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
