Job summary

Moog Inc. is hiring a Production Operator in Murphy, NC. The role involves assembling electromechanical products, operating hand tools, and loading/monitoring automated machinery. You will prepare and test motor assemblies and participate in cross-training to support production lines.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read instructions in English. Willingness to lift up to 40 lbs and work overtime, including weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience soldering or able to become certified.
  • Good eyesight with color distinction and good hand dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electromechanical products using required manufacturing documentation and tooling (rotor, stator sub-assemblies).
  • Operate hand tools and automated machinery as needed.
  • Install lead wire pin connectors and apply varnish to stator windings.
  • Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive per specs.
  • Prepare and package final motor/drive assemblies and participate in cross-training.
