Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a manufacturing operator for on-site work at our Auburn, AL site. The role runs on the first shift, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday with weekends as needed, and 5:00 am to 1:30 pm when required.

You will set up and operate tube cutting, bending, canning cells, and presses, while following safety and quality procedures to meet production targets.

• Strong attention to detail regarding quality, production and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tube cut off, bending, canning cells and presses to meet specs.
• Upload/download programs from machine control panels.
• Perform daily inspections, lubrication, adjustments and cleaning.
• Manage department schedule and material handling.
• Use route sheets and blueprints to produce parts as required.
• Serve as backup operator for other equipment.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies.

Operate equipment to meet and exceed customer expectations while following all safety, quality, production and environmental practices.

The role is located on-site at our manufacturing site in Auburn, AL. This role is first shift with hours of 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and weekends as needed with hours of 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Essential Functions

• Set up and operate Tube Cut Off, Bending, Amada, Canning Cells, and Presses to produce parts to customer specifications and production requirements.
• Upload and download programs from the machine control panel.
• Complete daily inspection, lubrication, adjustment and cleaning of machine.
• Execute department schedule and handle materials.
• Utilize route sheets and blueprints as needed to produce parts accordingly.
• Serve as backup operator for other equipment.
• Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment and LOTO as required.
• Operate Forklift as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding blueprints, pack specs, shipping requirements, and route sheets.

• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power Press or Tube Bending experience
• Welding experience
• Experience in the operation and setup of metal forming or cutting equipment.
