Below is a brief explanation for each of those areas of operation within the plant. Pay rates and scheduled work hours are based on area assigned.

The primary purpose of the Production Operator is to rotate through various positions within the plant to facilitate the receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and loading of linens to be delivered to hospitals and medical facilities. You will learn to operate various production equipment as needed for your daily assignments, ensuring safety and exceeding customer expectations.

All Production Operation employees will be required to perform other duties as assigned, adhere to all quality and safety standards, and be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodations.

Minimum requirements include a High School Education or GED (preferred) and excellent teamwork skills. Employees must be willing to rotate between all jobs as needed.

Soil Operations

  2. Operate on the work platform, moving between positions to sort linens into appropriate bins, working as part of a team.
  3. Move empty carts to cleaning areas for reuse.
  4. Ensure carts are cleaned, sterilized, dried, and lined for the next use, preparing for loading onto trucks.
Clean Operations

Employees will learn equipment and rotate positions, including:

  • Catcher: Secure linen carts, build and stack carts per standards, remove linens from machines, and handle jams with maintenance support.
  • Hand Fold: Hand fold linens from washers or pressers, stack, and prepare for transport, making quality decisions about linen condition.
  • Ironer: Operate the linen ironer, feed linens, and decide when items require re-washing due to quality issues.
