Job summary

Motion & Flow Control Products Inc. in Englewood, CO, seeks a Production Supervisor to manage daily operations, lead staff, ensure safety and quality, and meet customer commitments. The role includes occasional hands-on support, planning meetings, and SOP development to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in production or related operations.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production operations, including shop workflow, priorities, labor allocation, safety, quality, productivity, and on-time completion of customer commitments.
  • Directly supervise production employees, including assigning and directing daily work, monitoring performance, coaching, addressing productivity concerns, and ensuring accountability for results.
  • Lead daily production planning meetings in coordination with stakeholders and other appropriate teams to plan workload, resolve constraints, and align resources for shop and field projects.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and participate in the hiring, selection, promotion, management, discipline, termination, and compensation-related decisions.
  • Train, coach, develop, and evaluate production employees, conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure all procedures (including production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse), processes, safety requirements, and quality programs are followed and that work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both existing processes and equipment, as well as the development of SOPs for new product lines.
  • Partner with the Branch Manager and Quality to determine efficient and profitable approach to completing projects while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Use independent judgment to resolve production issues, adjust workflow priorities, address resource constraints, and resolve production issues, and escape operational concerns when appropriate.
  • Partner with appropriate departments and personnel, including Engineering, Sales and Technology Managers, and customers, to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to customer issues and requests, coordinating resolution with internal teams as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, labor utilization, equipment readiness, safety performance, quality outcomes, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate service and maintenance of production equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Complete required paperwork and reporting in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Complete forklift and safety orientation courses may occasionally operate a forklift or assist with production-related tasks to support training, safety, troubleshooting, or urgent operational needs.
  • Conduct safety training as directed by the MFCP Safety Director and/or Quality Manager.
  • Maintain and enforce a safe, clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
