Job summary

Linde Inc. in Wilmington, CA is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead safe, reliable plant operations and drive continuous improvement.

You will oversee safety programs, audits, maintenance planning and budget development, coordinating with QA, SH&E, and operations to meet quality and energy targets. The role requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of operations experience including 2+ years in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 4+ years of operations experience, including 2+ years of management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of operational processes, hazards, and equipment.
• Knowledge of Linde, OSHA, PSM, CGMP/FDA, ISO, and EPA standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams in achieving results.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe plant operations by maintaining safety performance and overseeing safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with governmental and Linde policies across QA, Reliability, Operations, and SH&E; manage MOC, EAM, ACMS, ProCal, variances and close audit items.
• Support regulatory and customer audits with focus on zero violations or actions.
• Manage equipment failures, production upsets, quality and delivery issues via root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate PMs, PdMs, and CMs and maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Develop and manage annual plant budgets; drive Operational Excellence and cost-saving initiatives.
• Schedule personnel, set team goals, and provide coaching and feedback for development.
• Develop training plans for new operators and ongoing technical development.
• Serve as on-call lead for QA, process, safety, and environmental issues during nights and weekends.
• Monitor production to meet quality/output targets; adjust controls as conditions change.
• Participate in daily integration meetings and job planning; serve as main operations contact for special projects.
• Communicate policy changes and QA requirements to impacted personnel and ensure timely implementation.
