Job summary

Maple Leaf Farms in Indiana is seeking a Training and Onboarding Specialist to join the production team. You will support onboarding and training for new hires, ensuring familiarity with job duties, safety procedures, GMPs, quality standards, and company policies.

You will track onboarding milestones, coordinate feedback, and assist leadership in maintaining a productive, compliant workplace while promoting strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional technical coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, or production environments.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record process data and update SOPs as needed.
• Support onboarding and training for new team members; facilitate Strong Start Program.
• Ensure trainers are prepared and serve as main contact during onboarding.
• Monitor new employee progress and coordinate 10, 20, 30-day reviews with supervision.
• Provide feedback to operations management on concerns affecting culture, safety, or production.
• Direct employee questions to Supervisors/Managers as appropriate.
• Serve as main contact for new production employees during onboarding and training period.
• Track onboarding milestones and maintain training documentation.
• Support initiatives to improve employee retention and engagement, including appreciation events.
• Conduct orientation sessions to communicate company values and expectations.
• Perform other duties to support production and training needs, including laundry coverage as needed.
