Job summary

Nucor Corporation's NBT team is seeking a Network Engineer for our Gallatin, KY location. You will configure, secure, and maintain the production network, collaborating with local IT groups to implement robust solutions and ensure reliable operations across sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering and experience with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, OSPF, and BGP, with travel about 25%. Onsite position with safety-focused culture and opportunities to contribute to enterprise network

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering with 1 year of work experience supporting LAN/WAN OR 3 years of LAN/WAN support

Responsibilities

• Configure, secure, and maintain network infrastructure for efficient operations.
• Collaborate with IT groups to implement network solutions, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, OSPF, and BGP.
• Coordinate installations and maintenance of network equipment at local sites.
• Promote current networking standards and best practices across the enterprise.
• Provide technical support and customer service for network-related requests.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related IT/Engineering field
