Job summary

Wayfair is seeking an L2 Machine Learning Scientist for its Economics & Pricing team in Boston. You will own end-to-end model design, experimentation, and deployment to inform product-level prices and margins, replacing legacy frameworks and driving margin improvement at scale.

You will collaborate with commercial stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready ML solutions with strong monitoring and ROI assessment.

Qualifications

• PhD with 0–1 years of experience or MSc/BaSc in STEM with 3+ years in industry.
• Proficiency in Python or another high-level programming language.
• Strong ability to deploy ML solutions into production and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and refine large-scale ML models and decision systems for pricing.
• Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
• Work with engineering and ML platforms to promote adoption of scalable ML services.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and edge-case handling mechanisms.
• Identify opportunities and assess ROI of model improvements.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
