Company Overview

Carpenter Technology Corporation - Shalmet specializes in coil-to-coil, coil-to-bar, bar-to-bar, and hollow bar processing of stainless, superalloys, titanium, carbon and alloy steels, aluminum and other nonferrous materials. Shalmet also provides rebuilding and re-engineering of customer machines.

Compensation

Wage Range: Starting wage rate is $30.70 per hour with potential wage opportunities up to $40.95 per hour.

Responsibilities

Employee will be assigned to various positions and shifts within the department according to operating needs and the department’s flexibility requirements. Assignments may be to either entry-level or non-entry-level positions; however, duties may include any and all processes, equipment, and positions within the department. When not assigned to a specific position, employee performs general labor type duties.

• Operate various pieces of mill equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
• Adhere and comply with all safety requirements.
• Be highly motivated and flexible to support manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work any shift and overtime as scheduled.
• Willing and able to operate various pieces of mill equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
• Demonstrate ability to adhere and comply with all safety requirements.
• Highly motivated and willing to support manufacturing needs through flexibility.
