Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer, Production (Starlink) to design structures, mechanisms and automation equipment for high-volume satellite production and ground station hardware.

You will own projects from concept to prototype and bring-up, collaborate with flight design and production teams, and optimize for speed and manufacturability, with emphasis on design for manufacturability and assembly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 1+ year of experience designing mechanical systems with 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Experience with structural design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design structures, mechanisms and automation for high-volume satellite production.
• Own projects from concept through fabrication and bring-up.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain schedule and budget.
• Assemble and commission the designed equipment.
