Job summary

AUTOKINITON Belleville Plant 2 is seeking a Material Handler - Production to safely move, unload, and stack materials using lifting devices and Hilo trucks in full compliance with MIOSHA and company procedures. You will tag, weigh, and record material movements and help maintain a neat, efficient work area.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to work any shift, strong safety awareness, and clear communication with team members.

Qualifications

• Michigan forklift truck operators permit required.
• Excellent safety record.
• Able to communicate well with others.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge and understanding of MIOSHA standards relating to set-up procedures, lockout, operation of press room/welding equipment, forklift truck operation, personal protective equipment, and material hazards required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hilo truck safely and in accordance with MIOSHA and company standards.
• Unload and stack materials; weigh and record weights on tags or production schedules.
• Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting devices.
• Recharge batteries, fuel tanks or replace liquefied gas tanks.
• Perform duties and operate machinery per MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
• Ensure correct tagging on all containers prior to moving; complete safety and operational checks daily.
• Maintain partial containers and organize the WIP area; manage tag inventory board.
• Help in departmental operations as needed.
• Be punctual with regular attendance and able to work any assigned shift.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly; assume other duties as directed by supervisor.
