Production Manager – Windows & Doors

Windows of Wisconsin | Kaukauna, WI | Full-Time | On-Site

We're looking for someone who can lead people, manage performance, and make great work happen.

At Windows of Wisconsin (WoW), our name sets a pretty high standard. We work hard to live up to it—for our customers and for our employees.

We're looking for a Production Manager who understands that running a successful construction operation takes more than scheduling jobs, managing crews, and solving problems. It takes leadership. Accountability. Business judgment. And a genuine commitment to developing people.

This is a key position on our Leadership Team, overseeing the largest department in our company.

We're a growing company with a strong reputation, high expectations, and a commitment to continually improving how we operate. We need someone who can help us keep getting better.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll oversee our entire Production operation, including Measuring, Ordering, Shop, Installation, and Service.

Your priorities will include:

  • Leading people: Develop supervisors, crew leaders, and employees through coaching, clear expectations, and consistent accountability.
  • Driving operational performance: Improve scheduling, job readiness, productivity, labor efficiency, and first-time job completion.
  • Protecting our reputation: Ensure workmanship consistently meets WoW standards and customers receive the exceptional experience we promise.
  • Solving problems: Identify root causes, eliminate recurring issues, and reduce callbacks, rework, and unnecessary service visits.
  • Managing by the numbers: Use KPIs, scorecards, and operational data to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvement.
  • Staying connected to the field: Visit jobsites regularly, support crews, evaluate performance, and address challenges where the work happens.
  • Contributing to company leadership: Work alongside the Owner and Leadership Team to strengthen processes, develop employees, and support continued growth.
Who We're Looking For

We're interested in an experienced leader who combines strong business acumen with the ability to earn the respect of construction professionals.

Ideally, you bring:

  • Experience leading construction, remodeling, installation, or closely related field operations.
  • Working knowledge of residential remodeling, replacement windows and doors, or a related construction trade is helpful, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success managing supervisors, field crews, or multiple operational functions over multiple departments.
  • Strong scheduling, organizational, analytical, and process-management skills.
  • The ability to recognize quality workmanship and address performance issues directly and professionally.
  • Experience using performance metrics to improve efficiency, quality, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to navigate difficult employee and customer conversations.
  • A leadership style that balances high expectations with coaching, fairness, and respect.
  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or operational scorecards is a plus.
What Matters Just as Much as Your Experience

We need someone who:

  • Takes ownership. When something goes wrong, you focus on fixing it—not finding someone to blame.
  • Develops people. You understand that building a stronger team is part of your job, not an interruption to it.
  • Holds the line on standards. You can be approachable and supportive without compromising expectations.
  • Understands the business. You recognize that quality, efficiency, employee performance, and customer satisfaction are connected. You have demonstrated business acumen. You understand financial statements, reports, etc.
  • Leads from both the office and the field. You're equally comfortable reviewing performance data and walking a jobsite.
  • Values integrity and transparency. You communicate honestly, follow through, and expect the same from others.
A Few Things You Should Know About Us

We're not a giant corporation, and we're not pretending to be one.

We're a growing company where leadership is accessible, individual contributions matter, and there's an opportunity to make a visible impact.

We have high standards. We believe in accountability. And we know that maintaining a great workplace requires the same attention and effort as delivering a great customer experience.

We're not perfect. But we're serious about getting better and care about correcting mistakes.
