Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production leader to manage all plant production activities, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while meeting customer requirements. The role involves supervising supervisors, coordinating shifts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will oversee machining, processing and assembly, train staff, and partner with leadership to optimize production costs. Travel around 10% is expected, with a strong emphasis on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing and supervision.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Travel 10%.
• Experience with SAP a plus.
• Experience in the plastics industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain production orders or schedules to plan facility operations.
• Direct production processes to achieve goals and optimize performance.
• Supervise and train production staff to ensure competence and alignment with goals.
• Oversee all production operations to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects and scrap reduction efforts.
• Coordinate and direct activities of Amcor Performance System.
