Job summary

Arxada is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for the Modesto plant. The role leads manufacturing operations to meet safety, environmental and regulatory standards, and drives production results.

The incumbent will oversee EHS, production volumes, budgets and quality while developing staff and ensuring customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and cost-effective product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, chemical preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience in a team-based environment with supervisory skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance with Vision is Zero and OSHA PSM requirements.
• Support Product Stewardship to ensure health, safety and environmental performance.
• Provide leadership in implementing current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Lead Plant Staff in EHS, production volumes, budgets, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and support employees; establish team performance standards and goals.
• Plan, monitor and forecast the Production department budgets.
• Coordinate plant‑wide support for cost-efficient product development.

Job description

Arxada is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for the Modesto plant. The role provides leadership in manufacturing management, overseeing safety, environmental compliance, regulatory requirements, budget control, and production results.

Essential Job Functions

• Accountable for Modesto Production activities performed safely and in compliance with “The Vision is Zero” initiative and PSM requirements (OSHA 1910.119).
• Support the “Product Stewardship” initiative to ensure the health, safety and environmental performance of products throughout their life cycle.
• Provide leadership in the implementation of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Act as an active member of the Modesto Plant Staff team, responsible for EHS, production volumes, fixed and variable budgets, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all team roles are successful and employees are supported and developed as needed.
• Establish team performance standards and goals and assure compliance through direct or subordinate oversight.
• Plan, prepare, control, monitor and forecast the Production department’s direct and indirect budgets.
• Coordinate support to the Modesto Plant areas via intra-department interfaces for smooth workflow and cost-efficient product development.
• Commit to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical preferred).• 5‑10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing.• Knowledge and understanding of statistical problem‑solving techniques and computer literacy.• Experience working in a team‑based environment with demonstrated supervisory skills.• Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Salary and Benefits

• Expected salary range: $106,000‑$129,000 (variable based on experience, education, training, certification, location and other non‑discriminatory factors).• Eligible to earn a short‑term incentive bonus.• Benefits include 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick leave.
