Job summary

Arxada AG in Modesto seeks a Production Manager, Operations, to lead the Modesto plant’s manufacturing activities, drive safety, quality and production results, and manage budgets with a focus on cost control.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with 5–10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, strong supervisory and communication skills, and proficiency in problem-solving and computer literacy to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Engineering) Chemical preferred.
• 5-10 years’ experience in Chemical Manufacturing.
• Knowledge and understanding of statistical problem-solving techniques and computer literacy.
• Experience working in a team-based environment and supervisory skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize and be flexible in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Modesto Production activities in a safe, environmentally sound manner per The Vision is Zero and OSHA 1910.119.
• Support Product Stewardship to ensure health, safety and environmental performance.
• Provide leadership in implementation of cGMP practices.
• Be an active member of the Modesto Plant Staff accountable to EHS, production volumes, budgets, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure team roles are aligned, establish performance standards and ensure compliance via subordinates.
• Plan, prepare, control, monitor and forecast the Production department budgets; coordinate inter-department support.
