Job summary

Austin Allen Company - Professional Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Production Manager for a machinery industry manufacturing operation in Kentucky. You will oversee daily production, drive Lean improvements, and manage safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with Sales and Engineering.

The role requires leadership of a team, strong mechanical knowledge, and experience with MRP systems. Relocation to Kentucky is paid and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 3 years of machinery and equipment leadership in HVAC/fan manufacturing.
• Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and blueprint-reading skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Experience with MRP systems and MS Office.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead production activities, schedules, personnel, and develop weekly production plans.
• Monitor labor, materials, maintenance, and production costs.
• Coordinate production and shipping schedules with Sales and Engineering.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate production employees and participate in hiring.
• Ensure work instructions, engineering practices, safety & quality standards are followed.
• Track performance and drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Quality to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and support equipment reliability.
• Use MRP systems to support production scheduling and material requirements.
• Support production budgets, purchasing, and resource planning.
