Job summary

The Dixon Group, a long-standing manufacturing company, is hiring a Production Manager in Dallas, NC. You will lead daily operations, develop production schedules, manage staffing, and partner with maintenance, engineering, and EHS to achieve SQDCC goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Experience leading supervisors and production teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing floor operations and execution of the Dixon Production System (DPS).
• Develop production schedules, assign work, and ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Manage staffing, labor allocation, attendance, and workforce performance.
• Maintain production boards and monitor status, capacity, and order flow.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS for smooth operations.
• Lead daily tier meetings and drive improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Monitor KPIs: throughput, schedule adherence, labor efficiency, scrap, safety metrics.
• Support employee development through onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Drive problem-solving and corrective actions to remove bottlenecks.
• Participate in recruiting, employee relations, and succession planning.
