Job summary

OVERHILL FARMS INC. is seeking a Production Manager to lead the plant 1 production line, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise daily operations while driving continuous improvement and compliance with food safety standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on management, data-driven decision making, and mentoring of staff to achieve efficiency and yield goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Food Science, or 5+ years in food manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ experience in Food Manufacturing Industry.
• 3+ years’ experience managing processes, documentation, and production planning.
• 3+ years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience in creating and implementing SOPs.
• 1+ years’ experience with automated packaging lines.
• 2+ years’ experience maintaining efficiency and yield reports.
• 2 years’ experience in cost saving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage all production line activities to meet goals.
• Develop the team through teaching, coaching, and leadership in food safety.
• Use a computerized system and hands-on approach to manage changing priorities.
• Create and manage production plans and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, FDA/USDA, ISO, BRC, and other standards.
• Resolve production scheduling problems by analyzing data and systems.
• Provide management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing production data and trends.
• Maintain and update knowledge through professional development and industry reading.
