A leader in personal care manufacturing in the Midwest is seeking a Production Manager, Director, or Vice President to oversee the entire production lifecycle and optimize operational efficiency. This position involves strategic planning and leadership to manage a diverse workforce, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and driving process improvements. Applicants should have experience in production oversight, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is on-site in Michigan and requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Strategic Planning: Designing and implementing production strategies to optimize workflow, capacity, and efficiency across multiple fill lines.
• Infrastructure Development: Building, scaling, and maintaining the physical and operational infrastructure needed to meet customer demands, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership: Recruiting, training, and managing a diverse workforce, flexing between 50 and 150 staff while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Production Oversight: Directing daily operations across 20 large and 10 small fill lines, ensuring optimal scheduling, resource allocation, and timely order fulfillment.
• Process Improvement: Identifying bottlenecks and implementing Lean/6‑Sigma methodologies to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensuring all activities adhere to GMP and other relevant regulatory standards in personal care manufacturing.
• Resource Management: Overseeing budget, equipment maintenance, supply chain flow, and material inventory to support seamless production operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
