Cohere Beauty Omaha is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain strategy across three manufacturing sites in Omaha, NE. Vice President, Supply Chain

Full Time Regular Executive/Senior Lev Omaha, NE, US

Reporting directly to the President, the VP of Supply Chain will translate customer demand, commercial priorities, new product launches and growth objectives into executable supply chain strategies and operating plans across three manufacturing sites. This leader will establish the processes, organizational discipline, systems and visibility required to improve customer service, reduce total cost, increase throughput and productivity, optimize inventory and working capital and support scalable growth.

The successful candidate will be a highly operational, low-ego executive who is equally comfortable setting strategy, making executive-level decisions and working directly with teams to solve detailed operational problems. This individual will bring deep experience in batch manufacturing and finished-goods packaging environments and understand the unique challenges of a beauty and personal care CDMO, including demand volatility, customer-specific materials and products, new product introductions, material lead times, inventory exposure, regulatory and quality requirements and aggressive customer service expectations.

What You Will Do:

• Provide executive leadership for the company's end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, commercial objectives, manufacturing capabilities, financial goals, and the company's long-term growth strategy.
• Serve as the primary supply chain voice on the executive leadership team, bringing visibility to critical decisions, constraints, risks, opportunities, and required trade-offs.
• Translate customer orders, forecasts, product-mixes, new business, and launch plans into supply scenarios with clear implications for customer service, capacity, cost, margin, inventory, and working capital.
• Lead and continuously improve the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
• Own the weekly S&OE cadence covering the 0–4-week horizon, ensuring timely identification and resolution of material shortages, capacity constraints, customer priorities, schedule risks, new product requirements, and other execution issues.
• Partner with Commercial and Customer Service to improve forecast quality and ensure meaningful visibility into customer demand, promotions, launches, and changes in product mix.
• Provide leadership for procurement and strategic sourcing across raw materials, ingredients, packaging components, and other externally sourced goods and services.
• Drive sourcing strategies that improve material availability, reduce total cost, mitigate supply risk, and support growth.
• Establish disciplined supplier performance management across quality, service, cost, lead time, responsiveness, and on-time delivery.
• Leverage strategic supplier relationships while creating appropriate accountability, corrective-action processes, and supplier-development initiatives.
• Provide leadership for production planning and scheduling across all manufacturing locations.
• Ensure customer demand is translated into realistic production schedules based on available materials, labor, equipment, capacity, quality requirements, and manufacturing constraints.
• Establish appropriate planning horizons, time fences, frozen schedules, planning parameters, and exception-management processes to improve schedule stability and manufacturing execution.
• Develop a holistic view of manufacturing capacity across the network and proactively identify bottlenecks, constraints, and future capacity requirements.
• Establish comprehensive inventory governance across raw materials, packaging components, work-in-process, finished goods, customer-owned/consigned materials, and excess and obsolete inventory.
• Balance customer service requirements with inventory and working-capital objectives.
• Establish appropriate inventory policies, safety-stock strategies, planning parameters, reorder methodologies, and material controls based on demand variability, lead times, customer requirements, and supply risk.
• Partner with Commercial, R&D, Quality, Project Management, Operations, and customers to accelerate new product development and commercialization.
• Establish supply chain readiness gates covering BOMs/formulas, routings, artwork, specifications, material qualifications, supplier readiness, capacity, production requirements, master data, and inventory.
• Ensure supply chain risks are identified early enough to prevent avoidable launch delays.
• Provide executive leadership for Customer Service and ensure customer requirements are effectively translated into operational priorities.
• Partner with Sales and Commercial leadership to establish realistic commitments and provide timely visibility into constraints, risks, and alternatives.
• Support collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment (CPFR, new item introductions, and other significant customer events where applicable.
• Own processes to proactively communicate supply constraints and resolve customer-service issues before they become escalations.
• Own and influence supply chain initiatives that improve gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and return on working capital.
• Develop and execute year-over-year cost-reduction and productivity programs across procurement, inventory, logistics, planning, and other areas of the supply chain.
• Establish visibility and controls around premium freight, expedites, unfavorable purchase variances, inventory write-offs, deductions, and other sources of supply chain cost leakage.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressively responsible supply-chain and operations leadership experience, including significant executive or senior leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience in contract manufacturing, CDMO, consumer products, beauty and personal care, or similarly complex manufacturing environments.
• Deep understanding of batch/process manufacturing combined with finished goods filling, packaging, and distribution.
• Significant leadership experience in S&OP, S&OE, demand planning, supply planning, production planning and scheduling, procurement/strategic sourcing, inventory management, and customer service.
• Proven track record of improving customer service, reducing cost, improving inventory and working capital, increasing productivity, and building scalable supply-chain processes.
• Experience operating in multi-site manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience partnering with Commercial, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Operations organizations.
• Strong logistics experience, including transportation cost management and exposure to tariff and trade considerations.
• Experience operating within applicable FDA-regulated and quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Advanced analytical, digital, ERP, and data-management capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and developing supply chain talent.
