Job summary

Victaulic, based in Cookeville, Tennessee, seeks a Production Manager to lead the Couplings and Welded Systems area. You will own daily execution in PreFabrication, drive throughput, quality, and schedule adherence across shifts, and maintain KPI ownership with direct leadership of shift Supervisors and hourly staff.

You will partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to optimize flow, reduce downtime, and improve overall performance.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication operations.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience, including multi-shift environments.
• Working knowledge of material handling systems, cutting, and profiling/grooving processes.
• Demonstrated ability to own KPIs and drive measurable improvement.
• Strong floor presence, with willingness to conduct frequent walkthroughs across both shifts.
• Ability to work in an operational manufacturing environment with required PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production execution for PreFabrication: material handling, cutting, and grooving.
• Ensure consistent throughput, quality, and schedule adherence across both shifts.
• Maintain a strong floor presence with frequent walkthroughs to observe flow, safety, and constraints.
• Ensure seamless shift-to-shift handoff with data, priorities, and accountability.
• Enforce standard work, job setups, material flow requirements, and process discipline.
• Own core KPIs for Cutting & Grooving and review them daily with leadership.
• Drive corrective actions when metrics miss targets and lead KPI ownership sessions.
• Provide leadership to Supervisors and hourly employees with daily huddles and follow-up.
• Collaborate with HR and Operations on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
• Identify production constraints and lead targeted improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
