Job summary

Adient plc is seeking a Production Manager for our Automotive Seating plant in Warren, Michigan. You will lead salaried personnel, oversee manufacturing operations, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production to meet customer specs.

We value extensive experience in automotive manufacturing, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of JIT principles. Occasional night shift coverage is part of the role; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of "Just-In-Time" (JIT) manufacturing principles (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, demonstrating a solid background in production processes and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise salaried personnel, managing manufacturing operations within assigned areas.
• Process raw materials through production and assembly operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
• Control material flow, maintain accurate production records, and ensure continuous production efficiency.
• Foster a safe and productive work environment by directing employees fairly and consistently, conducting regular area inspections, and upholding all safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements and address production challenges effectively.
• Must be open to B crew Tuesday - Friday 6 pm - 4:30 am
