Job summary

Pure's Food Specialties, LLC. is seeking a production supervisor to oversee packaging lines and guide the shift supervisor in daily operations. You will manage procedures, scheduling, and staffing while ensuring safety, quality and throughput targets are met.

The role requires experience leading employees, operating and diagnosing equipment, and knowledge of FDA guidelines. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this on‑site Illinois position.

Qualifications

• Experience in directing employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.
• Ability to communicate with both direct report employees and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies; mathematical skills preferred; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift supervisor to ensure procedures, rotation and schedules are followed.
• Coordinate with management to keep production activities efficient.
• Address employee concerns and enforce company policies and behavior standards.
• Track performance and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure packaging equipment is in good operating condition and that work areas stay clean.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency; ensure quality guidelines are followed and FDA and company guidelines enforced.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain LOTO certification.
• Review quality control documents and ensure food safety of production.
• Communicate cross‑function shift activities to operations daily.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Manager.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

• Oversees Shift supervisor to assure activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules

and attendance are executed

• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guide lines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Maintain LOTO certification
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis
