Job summary

Dover Corporation in Conyers, GA is seeking a Manager, Production - 2nd Shift to lead safety, schedule adherence, and labor optimization across a multi-shift operation employing about 280 team members.

You will drive lean improvements, mentor five production supervisors, and partner with Supply Chain to deliver on-time targets while maintaining a culture of high ethical standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent leadership experience considered.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing large teams (200+ headcount) through subordinate leaders.
• Deep understanding of labor efficiency metrics, capacity planning, and line balancing.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or TPS experience.
• ERP/MRP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Plex) and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety First culture with daily floor walks and JSA audits.
• Own production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics to avoid bottlenecks.
• Drive KPIs: Efficiency, Scrap Rate, First-Time Yield, Plan vs. Actual.
• Dynamically allocate labor across lines to optimize utilization.
• Lead OpEx initiatives: SW, LSW, and Tier Accountability.
• Establish Stop-and-Fix culture and empower operators to stop line for defects.
