Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is assisting a client in Washington state to recruit a Production Manager who will lead on the plant floor, develop a high‑performing team, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves partnering with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and HR to influence culture, develop future leaders, and sustain continuous improvement across the operation.

The position is safety‑sensitive and requires a four‑year technical degree or equivalent leadership

Qualifications

  • A four-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • At least five years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, safety programs, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop people at every level of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing Production Supervisors and plant employees while creating a culture built around safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Driving operational excellence by meeting production, quality, cost, and customer service objectives.
  • Working closely with the Quality team to ensure products consistently exceed customer expectations while promoting continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Partnering with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
  • Supporting and expanding Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives by encouraging ownership and involvement across the production team.
  • Collaborating with Shipping and Receiving to optimize production schedules, improve workflow, and ensure customers receive products on time.
  • Working alongside Human Resources to recruit, develop, coach, and retain exceptional employees while building a highly engaged workforce.
  • Championing Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, and process improvements that eliminate waste and improve productivity.
  • Ensuring all employees receive effective training in safety, quality, production processes, and operational procedures.
  • Coaching and mentoring direct reports while building strong succession plans and future leadership within the operation.
  • Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards through an effective and sustainable 5S program.
  • Using data, metrics, and employee feedback to identify opportunities for operational improvement and long-term success.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll Be Successful If You Have
  • A four‑year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • At least five years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • A proven ability to lead teams through change while building trust and accountability.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, safety programs, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop people at every level of the organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a hands‑on leadership style.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is considered a strong asset but is not required.
