Job description

An established manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team focused on delivering exceptional results in safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for creating a high-performance work environment, developing frontline leaders, and implementing process improvements that drive operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be an engaging people leader who can balance workforce development with achieving business objectives. This individual will champion continuous improvement, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and consistently.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members to strengthen leadership capabilities and employee engagement.
  • Establish clear expectations and performance standards while promoting accountability throughout the operation.
  • Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce waste, enhance product quality, and optimize workflow.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve performance targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, purchasing, and customer-facing teams to resolve issues and support business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead implementation efforts.
  • Support organizational growth by developing a culture focused on continuous learning, problem solving, and operational excellence.
  • Lead change initiatives and effectively communicate priorities across the organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven history of improving operational results through effective leadership and process improvement.
  • Experience utilizing Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and structured problem-solving tools.
  • Demonstrated success coaching employees, building strong teams, and developing future leaders.
  • Familiarity with production planning systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and customer commitments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Experience leading teams through operational changes and business growth initiatives.
