Job summary

WIKA Group is seeking a Production Manager in the United States (Texas, San Marcos) to coordinate personnel, optimize workflows, and bridge communication between technicians, engineers, planners and managers.

You will lead on-the-floor operations, manage shift coverage, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement while aligning production with organizational goals. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience managing technical, maintenance, service or operations personnel.
  • Strong performance management and employee coaching skills.
  • Experience conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Builds effective working relationships and collaborates in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understands operational workflows from order entry through final shipment.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge related to pressure technology.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of D365

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate personnel, optimize workflows, and bridge communication between technicians, engineers, planners and managers.
  • Ensure departments meet production goals through on-the-floor leadership, troubleshooting, training, and continuous employee improvement.
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to technicians.
  • Manage daily shift coverage and task delegation for technicians.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and communicate organizational objectives.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new technicians.
  • Mentor and cross-train employees to foster skill growth.
  • Monitor employee performance and productivity; conduct evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Address employee relations issues and administer disciplinary actions per policy.
  • Track and analyze departmental KPIs; monitor workflow and staffing levels.
  • Act as liaison between production teams, engineers, and leadership to resolve issues and align operations with goals.
  • Communicate production issues or delays to ensure timely updates to management and customers.
  • Coordinate with Planners, Product Engineers, and Director of Operations to align production schedule and priorities.
  • Hire, develop, and evaluate production technicians to maintain a skilled workforce.

Job description
