Job summary

Public Veil, a fast-growing NYC fashion brand, seeks a Production Manager to own execution from tech pack to delivery. You will be the main contact with factories in Asia, keeping styles on time, on cost, and on quality.

Lead sourcing, set calendars, approve samples, manage QA standards, and report production status weekly while collaborating with design, merchandising, and planning. Location is NYC with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in apparel production, ideally knits, basics, or swim.
• Experience working directly with factories in Asia.
• Hands-on in speccing garments and building tech packs from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, costing, and production calendars.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and ability to juggle many styles.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; PLM experience a plus.
• Startup mindset: hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Spec garments and build complete tech packs, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, and grading, for new and existing styles.
• Manage daily communication with our factories in Asia, including time & action calendars, WIP tracking, and resolving issues fast.
• Gather cost breakdowns, confirm FOBs, and issue and maintain POs for garments and fabric.
• Drive sample approvals (fit, pre-production, top-of-production) against tech packs.
• Set and enforce QC standards, review inspection reports, and manage defects and chargebacks.
• Coordinate freight and inbound shipments to our 3PL, keeping delivery dates aligned with launches.
• Report weekly on production status, margins, and risks.
• Partner closely with design, merchandising, and planning.

The Role

We're looking for a Production Manager to own execution from tech pack to delivery. You'll be the main point of contact with our factories in Asia and keep every style on time, on cost, and on quality.

• Spec garments and build complete tech packs, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, and grading, for new and existing styles
