Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production process for women’s and children’s apparel, from sampling through bulk production and delivery. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with design, merchandising, sourcing, and sales teams to align on product specifications, costing, and timelines. The role involves managing factory communication, tracking purchase orders, monitoring production status, and resolving issues related to quality, fit, and delivery schedules. The Production Manager will review tech packs, approve lab dips and strike-offs, monitor compliance with quality standards, and ensure that products meet brand, cost, and lead-time expectations. The role also includes maintaining accurate production reports, analyzing performance, and recommending process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications
  • Strong production management and apparel manufacturing skills, including experience with end-to-end product lifecycle, vendor management, and bulk production tracking.
  • Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, trims, and garment construction, with the ability to read and interpret tech packs and specifications.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance, including fit approvals, sample review, and resolving production and quality issues.
  • Proficiency with production-related software and tools (e.g., PLM systems, Excel, ERP or order management systems), and strong data tracking and reporting abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple styles, seasons, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, including domestic and international factories.
  • Experience in women’s and/or children’s apparel production within a fast-paced, fashion-driven environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Production, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Detail-oriented, solution-focused mindset, with the ability to work on-site full time in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
