Job Description: Production Manager
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of manufacturing and production operations, including team leadership, equipment maintenance, quality control, inventory and supply chain management, and safety compliance. This individual will play a critical role in scaling operations and ensuring timely, high-quality output in line with regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Oversee production workflows, schedules, and employee performance
- Monitor installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing documentation, including technical drawings and SOPs
- Coordinate the execution of equipment/process experiments and improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Support technology transfer and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ/PV) for new processes and equipment
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for the Kandu Health ERP system
- Manage inventory control, procurement, and order fulfillment processes with >98% accuracy
- Maintain and reconcile product and material histories within the ERP system
- Collaborate with Finance and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate and timely transactions
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and cost control
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and internal safety standards across all manufacturing activities
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with industry regulations
- Maintain and update SOPs related to ERP, MRP, safety, and manufacturing procedures
Technical Support & Continuous Improvement
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in manufacturing and R&D environments
- Execute process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Kaizen principles
- Lead validation activities for new equipment and procedures
- Drive initiatives for semi-automation and automation of production processes
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Create and manage technician shift schedules
- Address performance and conduct issues with fairness and clarity
- Generate regular performance and operations reports for senior leadership
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the medical device or regulated industry
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems; Neurolutions ERP experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and validation practices (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on-site in a dynamic production environment
