Job Description: Production Manager at Belanger, Inc.

Belanger, Inc., part of OPW VWS, a leader in Vehicle Wash Manufacturing, is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vacation, company-paid life insurance, and 401K matching up to 3.5%.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will oversee a team of 20 across Assembly, Manufacturing, and Production Quality, ensuring excellent team performance and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Inventory, and Delivery.
  2. Manage safety programs, enforce safety rules, and eliminate risks.
  3. Ensure quality metrics are met using LEAN/Cl tools to address root causes of defects.
  4. Ensure timely completion of orders and oversee inventory control procedures.
  5. Implement cost-saving initiatives and motivate the team to achieve output goals.
  6. Provide operational training, leadership, and foster a positive work environment.
  7. Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes with strategic and leadership skills.
  8. Support employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations.
  9. Implement manufacturing technologies to improve operational excellence and promote a lean/safety culture.
  10. Collaborate with other departments on company projects.
  11. Conduct performance evaluations and ensure internal controls are effective.
  12. Maintain quality assurance standards to meet customer needs.
  13. Mentor staff, evaluate performance, address behavioral issues, and participate in hiring.
  14. Participate in sales reviews and prioritize operational tasks.
  15. Stay updated on manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of electronic manufacturing or controls experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership in Production.
  • Ability to read drawings and prints.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Epicor, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with Cl/Lean tools and concepts.
  • Background in production assembly, mechanical repair, automotive, or electronics.
  • Customer service orientation.
