Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Engineering Manager in our Injection Molding plant to supervise a diverse engineering team. You will guide projects, make data-driven decisions to improve production efficiency, safety, and quality, and lead cross-functional collaboration to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Industrial Maintenance/Engineering, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, and a proven ability to lead, troubleshoot, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production

• Strong problem solving and technical skills.
• 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Engineering.
• Detail oriented/root cause investigative mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Team with guidance, direction, and development of Engineers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
• Assess cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to improve safety, efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
• Assists other teams (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of those teams.
• Tracks cost savings of implemented projects and efficiency improvements
• Prepares and implements the capital budget.
• Performs annual performance evaluations of employees
• Respond to customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive action.
• Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
