Job Summary

A respected manufacturing company in Fresno, CA is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily production operations in a metal fabrication and welding environment. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a manufacturing leader with experience managing production lines that involve raw materials such as steel, aluminum, fabricated components, welding, mechanical assembly, and related industrial processes.

The Production Manager will play a key role in driving safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance while working closely with supply chain, purchasing, engineering, and shop floor personnel. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible on the production floor, solving problems in real time, mentoring employees, and contributing to continuous improvement in a stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production line operations to ensure output, safety, quality, and efficiency goals are achieved.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor production team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with supply chain and purchasing teams to ensure materials, parts, and fabrication components are available for production.
• Monitor workflow, identify production bottlenecks, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure proper handling and use of raw materials, including steel, aluminum, bolts, wiring, and other manufacturing components.
• Maintain accurate production records and support compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and industry requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 to $115,000 per year.
• Job type: Direct hire.
• Schedule: Full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3-5 years of relevant production management or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing production in a metal fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, or industrial manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of raw material handling, including steel, aluminum, and related fabrication materials.
• Understanding of welding, fabrication, assembly processes, and production line operations.
• Ability to read production needs, manage workflow, and troubleshoot shop floor issues effectively.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and production personnel.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• ERP system experience preferred.
• Experience supporting production planning, inventory coordination, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in a fabrication or assembly operation.
