Concepts in Millwork, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily shop operations, coordinate workflow, and drive quality, safety, and efficiency in our millwork production facility.

You will oversee production planning, manage a skilled team, and implement process improvements while meeting deadlines and staying within budget. This role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years millwork/casework experience required.
• ERP experience, INNERGY preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Supervisory experience of 50+ employees preferred.

We’re seeking a Production Manager to lead daily shop operations, coordinate workflow, remove roadblocks, and ensure our team delivers high-quality millwork safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Position Summary: The Production Manager administers and manages all aspects of the Production Department. The Production Department manager is also responsible for providing high quality communication, supervision and direction to the plant supervisors and the maintenance supervisor.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set production measures and requirements based upon his review of both the estimated man hours and shop drawings.
• Manages man-hour usage in accordance with an established budget.
• Production Manager must convey to the Engineering Manager priority of releases to the shop to coincide with committed dates and insure production continuity.
• Follows up to assure that materials arrive in time to meet our commitments.
• Assures all completed products meet the quality standards set forth by the Company.
• Ensure all employees are properly trained and follow up procedures are established.
• Limit mistake factor in shop personnel through awareness and training techniques.
• Establishes updated processes and procedures to increase productivity.
• Makes recommendations regarding new and current technologies within the manufacturing industry so as to constantly keep us in the forefront.
• Assures cleanliness of the shop, inside and out, and stock levels are maintained.
• Assures service equipment is in good working condition and well maintained.
• Ensure that employee evaluations are completed and kept current.
• Have a strong grasp of AWI standards; strong understanding of raw materials and fabrication methods.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
• Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Minimum of 5 years Millwork/Casework experience is preferred. Relevant transferable experience in a related trade may also be considered.
• Comfortable learning and using new software and technology
• Prior experience with an ERP system, INNERGY preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Minimum of 5 years Millwork/Casework experience is preferred.
• Previous supervision/leadership of 50 or more employees is preferred

Job Details

• Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 salary, commensurate upon experience. Bonus Eligible.
• Job Type: Full Time. Shift, Typically Mon- Fri, 40 Hours (Additional hours as needed).

• Physical demands:
  • Lifting - Employee may be required to lift weights up to 50 pounds. In the event a load weighs more than 50 pounds, team members are required to seek assistance from another team member before lifting and use proper lifting techniques;
  • Push/Pulling – Push material of various sizes and weights;
  • Stand/Walking – Must be able to stand approximately 100% of the work shift;
  • Reaching - reach up to heights of 60 inches to position and retrieve needed materials;
• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment (in a cubicle and/or office) and will also be exposed to moving machinery in a temperature-controlled environment and includes exposure to contaminants (mainly dust). Noise level: low to high (appropriate PPE is provided to all employees).
