Job summary

KRUSH Tech Inc is building its U.S. manufacturing team in Austin, TX. We seek a Production Manager to lead production associates from NPI through scaled production, reporting to the Production Director. This role blends frontline tech with people management to shape a new aerospace-focused operation.

You will oversee daily floor activities, ensure safety, drive 5S/Lean improvements, manage ERP/MES transactions, and provide weekly production progress updates with cross-functional partners.

ABOUT THE TEAM

KRUSH Tech is an international technology company developing advanced hardware solutions for defense, aerospace, communications, and autonomous systems. We're launching our U.S. operations from the ground up, building a next-generation, vertically integrated aerospace organization focused on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, and sensing technologies for the U.S. market and strategic partners. ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our manufacturing team at KRUSH. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing a team of production associates through all phases of manufacturing, from new product introduction through scaled production, and will report to the Production Director. This is a highly dynamic role that requires both frontline technical and people management skills, and a rare opportunity to help shape a manufacturing organization from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage production staff in the build and delivery of KRUSH products through inspection, test, and acceptance
• Set priorities and direct daily operations, including timely issuing and completion of work orders to the production floor; clear blockers daily so the team can hit their goals
• Ensure all operators are following safety procedures and standard work tasks; proactively identify and drive safety improvement opportunities
• Prioritize work activities for operators to achieve on-time delivery goals
• Be an active participant in 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Complete transactions in production systems ([ERP/MES, e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor]) on a daily basis
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in each work area
• Provide a weekly report-out of production progress, blockers, risks, and needs
• Lead daily communication with cross-functional partners: engineering, quality, materials/planning, and maintenance
• Support issue resolution, including root cause investigation and corrective action (CAPA) tracking
• Execute and maintain standardized manufacturing instructions and control plans
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process; no defects leave a station or team area
• Generate daily pass-downs and quality reports for engineering and operations
• Manage, coach, mentor, and support production associates on shift
• Build a positive, collaborative team culture that promotes product knowledge, skills development, and cross-training
• Be willing and able to work hands-on alongside your team, including new-operator training and equipment troubleshooting, as needed
• Show up every day with urgency and ownership; this floor doesn't run itself

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience managing or supervising a team in a high-volume production/manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production rate, critical path analysis, and core manufacturing fundamentals
• Full understanding of the product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), Lean manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
• Ability to interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, build specs, equipment specs)
• Hands-on and comfortable being on the production floor; proven skills in process and equipment troubleshooting; adapts easily to a constantly changing production environment
• Passion for employee development — genuinely enjoys training and developing both new hires and veteran staff
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities (ITAR)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or Applied Science)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified
• Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and OSHA regulations
• Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly/integration
• Forklift and/or 3A hoisting certification a plus
• Experience ramping a line from low-volume to high-rate production
• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or another export-controlled manufacturing environment

KRUSH Tech offers a competitive compensation package. Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual offers are determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on interview performance, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, and internal equity.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of the applicable range as of the date of posting. The final offer will be determined after considering all relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience.

In addition to base pay, KRUSH Tech offers a monthly benefits stipend that employees can apply toward the health, dental, vision, or other coverage that best fits their needs, along with 9 paid federal holidays per year.
