Job summary

KRUSH Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Technician, Team Lead to join our new U.S. operations. You will build, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies on the floor, while mentoring peers and directing daily priorities.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will read engineering drawings and CAD models, enforce IPC standards, and drive continuous improvement as we scale production. This is a hands-on leadership role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing with lead experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings and CAD models with minimal supervision.
• Strong electro-mechanical assembly and electrical debug skills.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized and detail-oriented.
• U.S. Person status for export-controlled information (ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on build, integration, test, and rework of KRUSH UAS electromechanical assemblies and subsystems.
• Mentor and train Mid- and Senior-level technicians on standard work, build procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models with minimal supervision; flag discrepancies to engineering.
• Serve as the floor-level point of contact for build issues, escalating and driving root cause investigation and CAPA.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and priorities across the technician team with the Production Supervisor.
• Perform electrical debug using standard tools and mechanical/electrical assembly troubleshooting.
• Support prototype-to-production transitions, refining work instructions and control plans as processes mature.
• Ensure IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards are met and enforced across the team.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives; drive safety on the floor.
• Complete ERP/MES transactions daily.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician, Team Lead to join our manufacturing team at KRUSH. In this role, you will work hands-on alongside our engineering team to build, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies — while also mentoring and directing the work of other technicians on the floor. You will report to the Production Manager and serve as the floor-level point of contact for build issues, process questions, and day-to-day prioritization.

This is not a traditional lead role — you'll be building alongside your team every day, not just directing from the sidelines. It's a rare opportunity to help shape a manufacturing organization and its standard work from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead hands-on build, integration, test, and rework of KRUSH UAS electromechanical assemblies and subsystems
• Mentor and train Mid- and Senior-level technicians on standard work, build procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models with minimal supervision; flag discrepancies to engineering
• Serve as the floor-level point of contact for build issues, escalating and driving root cause investigation and corrective action (CAPA)
• Coordinate daily work assignments and priorities across the technician team in partnership with the Production Supervisor
• Perform electrical debug using standard tools (digital multimeter, continuity and insulation testers) and mechanical/electrical assembly troubleshooting
• Support prototype-to-production transition, including refining work instructions and control plans as processes mature
• Ensure IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards are met and enforced across the team
• Actively participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, and drive safety compliance on the floor
• Complete transactions in production systems (ERP/MES) on a daily basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, or another high-precision manufacturing environment, including prior lead or mentoring experience
• Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models with minimal supervision
• Strong hands-on skills in electro-mechanical assembly, electrical debug, and wiring/harness fabrication
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards
• Experience training, mentoring, or leading other technicians
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities (ITAR)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military/technical training
• Forklift and/or 3A hoisting certification
• Prototype-to-production transition experience
• Experience in an AS9100 manufacturing environment
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Manufacturing, or Applied Science)
• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or another export-controlled manufacturing environment

KRUSH Tech offers a competitive compensation package. Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual offers are determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on interview performance, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, and internal equity.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of the applicable range as of the date of posting. The final offer will be determined after considering all relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience.

In addition to base pay, KRUSH Tech offers a monthly benefits stipend that employees can apply toward the health, dental, vision, or other coverage that best fits their needs, along with 9 paid federal holidays per year.
