Job summary

The Production Manager helps oversee the preparation and execution of live events across multiple Greenawalt Hospitality divisions. This is a hands‑on operations role that combines event production, logistics, team leadership, and problem‑solving in constantly changing environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree in Hospitality, Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in event production, hospitality, logistics, operations, construction, or project coordination.
• Experience supervising employees or crews.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
• Physical ability to load, unload, carry, reposition equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving abilities.
• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, overnight travel and variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Help manage event setup, daily operations, and breakdown of live events and hospitality installations.
• Coordinate event-specific schedules, logistics, and deployment requirements.
• Work alongside event managers and leadership to deliver successful event operations.
• Confirm personnel, equipment, and operational requirements are ready before each event.
• Monitor event activities and respond quickly to changing operational needs.
• Organize movement, transportation, setup, and return of event equipment.
• Prepare trucks, trailers, vehicles, and production equipment for deployments.
• Track equipment, supplies, inventory, and other assets.
• Anticipate transportation and logistical issues and find practical solutions.
• Ensure equipment and resources arrive where needed and when required.
• Direct production crews and hourly personnel during deployments.
• Train, coach, and assist new employees; promote teamwork and accountability.
• Set a professional, customer-service oriented example for the team.
• Provide hands-on support with hospitality, food/beverage operations, and infrastructure.
• Operate company vehicles when authorized and keep spaces organized.
• Step into different functions as needed and assist divisions during peak periods.
• Follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, and maintain records accurately.

Key Responsibilities: Event Operations & Execution

• Help manage event setup, daily operations, and breakdown of live events and hospitality installations
• Coordinate event- specific schedules, logistics, and deployment requirements
• Work alongside event managers and company leadership to deliver successful event operations
• Confirm that personnel, equipment, and operational requirements are ready before each event begins
• Monitor event activities and respond quickly to changing operational needs

Production & Logistics Coordination

• Organize the movement, transportation, setup, and return of event equipment
• Help prepare trucks, trailers, vehicles, and production equipment for upcoming deployments
• Track company equipment, supplies, inventory, and other operational assets
• Anticipate transportation and logistical issues and work toward practical solutions
• Help ensure equipment and resources arrive where they are needed and when they are needed

Leadership & Team Development

• Help direct production crews and hourly event personnel during deployments
• Train, coach, and assist new employees as they learn company processes
• Encourage dependable communication, teamwork, and personal accountability
• Set a strong example for work ethic, professionalism, and customer service
• Help create a productive and respectful environment for team members

Operational Support

• Provide hands‑on assistance with hospitality, food and beverage operations, event infrastructure, and other company services
• Operate company vehicles and trailers when properly authorized
• Keep vehicles, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces organized and properly maintained
• Step into different operational functions when business needs require additional support
• Assist other Greenawalt Hospitality divisions during high‑volume periods and major deployments

Safety, Standards & Accountability

• Follow and reinforce company operating procedures, safety requirements, and workplace standards
• Inspect equipment and work areas and communicate potential safety or maintenance issues
• Maintain a professional, dependable, and detail‑oriented approach throughout event deployments
• Complete required records, checklists, inventory information, and other operational documentation accurately
• Help protect company property and ensure equipment is handled responsibly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in event production, hospitality, logistics, operations, construction, project coordination, or a comparable hands‑on environment is preferred
• Prior experience supervising employees, crews, or projects is strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify under the company's vehicle insurance requirements
• Physical ability to load, unload, carry, and reposition equipment as part of normal event operations
• Willingness to work outside and in changing weather conditions
• Excellent organization, communication, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities
• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, overnight trips, and variable schedules based on event demands

Compensation

Starting Salary: $45,000 annually

Additional compensation opportunities may include:

Travel Requirement

This role involves substantial travel, with approximately 50–120 travel days per year depending on the event calendar and business needs. Travel may include overnight stays as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is designed for someone who is comfortable with an event‑driven schedule rather than a predictable Monday–Friday office routine.
