Job summary
Greenawalt Hospitality is seeking a Production Operations Specialist to lead live event operations across multiple divisions. You will coordinate logistics, manage deployments, and ensure safety and on-time execution of events nationwide and in the Southeast.
In this role you will supervise production crews, mentor staff, and maintain equipment, vehicles, and inventory while traveling 50-120 days a year. A high school diploma is required, with advanced hospitality or operations studies preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in live events, operations, logistics, hospitality, production, construction, or project coordination preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license with eligibility for coverage under the company's vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment throughout the workday
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing travel schedules

As a Production Operations Specialist, you'll play a key role in leading event operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every deployment is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
The Production Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and operational success of live events across multiple Greenawalt Hospitality divisions. This position combines hands-on event production with operational leadership, requiring individuals who can solve problems, coordinate resources, and help lead teams in fast-paced event environments.
Production Operations Specialists serve as trusted operational leaders, helping ensure equipment, personnel, logistics, and event timelines come together to create exceptional guest experiences.
- Coordinate the setup, operation, and teardown of live events and hospitality environments
- Assist with planning event logistics, deployment schedules, and operational timelines
- Support event managers and leadership in executing successful events
- Ensure operational readiness before, during, and after each event
- Coordinate loading, transportation, deployment, and recovery of event equipment
- Assist with fleet, trailer, and equipment readiness for upcoming events
- Maintain accountability for company assets, inventory, and operational supplies
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges before they impact event execution
- Provide guidance and support to production crews and hourly event staff
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence
- Lead by example while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Assist with food and beverage operations, hospitality services, and infrastructure deployment as needed
- Drive company vehicles and trailers when authorized
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas to company standards
- Support multiple company divisions based on operational priorities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Promote professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail throughout every deployment
- Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment, inventory, and operational activities

You may spend one week coordinating the setup of a major music festival, the next supporting premium hospitality operations at a collegiate sporting event, and the following week helping execute a large-scale special event in another state.
