Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Manheim, PA is seeking a Production Machinist II for 2nd shift to operate CNC equipment, perform secondary tasks, and maintain production quality.

You will read blueprints, follow specifications, trouble shoot, and keep accurate records. A high school diploma or GED and relevant machining experience are required; US citizenship or permanent residency is required by ITAR.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required (ITAR).
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
  • Ability to work with team to troubleshoot operations and flow issues.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machining equipment and perform secondary tasks (tumbling, reworking, cleaning).
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot operations and flow issues with the team.
  • Perform quality checks and document defects.
  • Maintain records of production quantities and time.
  • Work safely with hand tools and measuring equipment.

Shift and Schedule

This position will be working 2nd shift which works Monday to Thursday4 pm – 2:30 am

Individuals working 2nd shift receive 10% shift premium on top of their hourly rate.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities
  • Applies basic job skills to operate CNC machining equipment and perform various secondary tasks such as tumbling, reworking, and cleaning
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately operate CNC machining equipment.
  • Work with team to trouble shoot operations and/or flow issues
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards, and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Work safely with small hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Duties could include:
  • Operate Screw Machine: Citizen, SR10, Tsugami, SR20 Machine
  • Operate Milling
  • Shipping
  • Secondary work.

Qualifications
  • Due to ITAR restrictions, US Citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Residency is required for this position
  • Use independent judgement and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions, with a high attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet company demands
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relevant work experience
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.61- $28.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
