Job summary

PRIMA in Bristol, TN seeks a maintenance technician to manage daily machine operations and upkeep. You will startup/shut down production equipment, read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, and fabricate or install replacement parts as needed.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, PLC programming, and adherence to SOPs/JSAs. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, logging repairs, coordinating with shifts, and ensuring safe operation of all machinery.

Qualifications

• Must perform daily start-up and shut-down of machines.
• Ability to read Electrical and Pneumatic diagrams to speed repairs.
• Write and maintain SOPs and JSAs for equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily start-up and shutdown of machines in production.
• Keep machines properly maintained (cleaned and lubricated).
• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and timelines.
• Read diagrams to diagnose equipment malfunctions and speed repairs.
• Program PLCs and document maintenance logs.
• Communicate with operators across shifts and ensure safety.
• Install and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Perform daily start-up and shut-down of machines

• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Complete required forms to ensure proper operations and set up of all machines.
• Read Electrical and Pneumatic diagrams to help speed the repair of the equipment if it malfunctions.
• Trouble shoot machine issues quickly.
• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
