Job summary

NanoXplore Inc. is seeking a Production Operator in North Carolina to support production goals by operating process machinery, including robots and bonders, and performing startup/shutdown procedures.

The role requires hands-on use of hand tools, adherence to safety standards, and active participation in continuous improvement efforts. You will work with the production and engineering teams to address issues, maintain equipment, and ensure efficient, safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Ability to operate/monitor process machinery and robots.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Ability to interpret production schedules and communicate issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of process machinery, including robots, presses and bonders.
• Perform startup/shutdown procedures and process checks.
• Use hand tools and inspect/maintain equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues and propose improvements to management.
• Maintain clean work area and adhere to 5S and safety policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties As Assigned)

• Production Operations
• Operate various types of process machinery, including robots, presses, and bonders. Cross-train as needed
• Perform basic start‑up and shut‑down procedures, as well as process checks throughout
• Use various types of hand tools, including routers, sanders, drills, etc.
• Effectively troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to management
• Ensure all equipment and tools are stored and maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and minimize unnecessary downtime
• Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable
• Provide input and ensure completion of set production goals, as set forth by Management
• Effectively interpret production schedule and communicate any issues to management
• Maintain compliance
• Abide by safe work standards, company safety practices, and OSHA regulations
• Support plant safety initiative, maintain safety protocols throughout the production area
• Contribute to ongoing plant improvements, as needed
• Abide by all corporate and plant company policies and initiatives
• Work with Quality/Engineering Team to address any production issues
• Maintain clean work areas, practice good housekeeping, and support plant-wide 5S initiative
• Adhere to the company attendance policy
