Job summary

FabCorp/Hammonds in Houston, TX is seeking a Production Assistant to support production operations, purchasing, and warehouse activities to meet production goals. The role collaborates with management to uphold ISO compliance and drive continual improvement.

You will read orders, generate work orders, place vendor purchase orders, manage inventory and parts kits, and assist with receiving and shipping. The position is hourly, with day shift.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in MS Office software.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to read and write in English.
• Flexible to work long hours and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, pick sheets, purchase reports, material labels, part drawings and inspection data records.
• Place purchase orders with vendors to support production demands and stock levels.
• Oversee the calibration, recertification of tools and test equipment.
• Use pick sheets to pull parts for production or parts orders.
• Create work orders and issue material to work orders in the system.
• Support warehouse with inventory counts and receiving materials, and assist with shipping.
