Job summary

Mobis South Carolina Electrified Powertrain (MSCe) is seeking a Logistics Assistant Manager to lead end-to-end material planning, inventory control, and warehousing in support of uninterrupted production and on-time delivery.

You will optimize logistics flow, manage ERP data, coordinate with suppliers, and drive improvements in inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, and cost performance across inbound and outbound operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, logistics, or warehouse operations (automotive preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP MM/WM preferred).
• Experience with supplier management, inventory control, and logistics operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor material surplus and shortages against OEM’s demand.
• Define and manage optimal inventory coverage (days of inventory).
• Establish warehouse zoning and storage space allocation based on material type and flow.
• Control inbound, production issuance, and real-time inventory status.
• Analyze root causes of backlog and implement corrective actions.
• Manage outbound processes for non-conforming materials and transfers.
• Validate inventory transactions through periodic audits.
• Develop and improve part identification systems and material racks.
• Ensure FIFO compliance based on goods receipt date.
• Establish action plans for slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Maintain 3S and 5S standards; high inventory accuracy via cycle counts.
• Define packaging specifications, container types, and storage areas.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate bids, and select vendors.
• Manage freight cost settlements and logistics service providers.
• Establish, update, and govern logistics master data and standards.
