Role and Company Overview:

A fast-growing US custom sports apparel brand serving niche communities — boxing clubs, rugby teams, bowling leagues, and more. They design and produce custom jerseys and sports gear, partnering with overseas manufacturers to deliver from concept to finished product in approximately three weeks. As they scale through new partnerships and events, they need an operations specialist to take end-to-end production coordination off the founder’s plate and keep every order moving without interruption.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily communication with international manufacturers to track production milestones and resolve bottlenecks
  • Own the on-time delivery metric — monitor shipments from factory to warehouse and troubleshoot delays in real time
  • Work closely with the sales team to translate custom client requests into technical specifications manufacturers can execute
  • Audit and place purchase orders with full accuracy — logos, colorways, and construction must match client requirements exactly
  • Collaborate on new product development between the sales team and manufacturers
  • Identify and implement process and workflow improvements across operations
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in apparel product development, sourcing, or supply chain (sports industry preferred)
  • Proven experience working directly with overseas manufacturers
  • Strong understanding of tech packs, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and lead times
  • Ability to identify technical deviations and resolve production issues independently
  • Experience translating complex technical specifications into clear, actionable instructions for non-native English-speaking production teams
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Monday.com, and Adobe products
  • Experience using AI tools for workflow improvement
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Background in apparel product development (beyond logistics and supply chain)
