Job summary

Silgan Containers in Richmond, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will test and confirm video inspection equipment is operating properly, inspect and weigh packed products, and verify packing slips to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will also inspect metal for shearing and coating voids, notify supervisors of irregularities, unload containers as required, and approve or disapprove finished products according to spec.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Test and confirm video inspection equipment is operating properly
• Inspect, weigh and pack products and materials and check and verify packing slips
• Inspect metal for shearing and coating voids and remove scrap and inferior quality materials
• Notify proper persons of irregularities in the job
• Unload floor container as required
• Approve and disapprove finished product in accordance with quality specifications
• Follow all Plant food safety procedures
