Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a Packaging Inspector to enforce safety policies and ensure finished goods meet customer specifications. The role involves identifying defects, verifying packaging parameters, and performing rework while promoting a team-oriented, clean, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities include alerting Operators to defects, supporting line startup, clearing jams, and assisting maintenance with routine housekeeping and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Verify packaging parameters against specifications.
• Perform rework as needed and assist with line clearance during startup or downtime.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and perform housekeeping duties.
• Assist Operators and Maintenance with grinding, jams, and line housekeeping.
• Communicate safety issues and follow established rules and procedures.
